EMT PARTNERS WITH SYNAPSE SYSTEMS TO IMPLEMENT VISUALPLANT

LONDON, Ont.- Executive Manufacturing Technologies (EMT), makers of the world's leading Manufacturing IntelligenceTM software today announced a partnership with Synapse Systems to provide enterprise manufacturing solutions. Synapse will now offer its customers a complete live view into the manufacturing process-a VisualPlant advantage that can accurately identify production constraints and downtime, improve throughput and decrease cycle times.

Pittsburgh, PA-based Synapse Systems is a leading North American engineering firm, experienced in discrete and process plant floor control systems, real-time and historical data gathering and display, production monitoring, wireless and web enabled applications, KPI tracking and display/OEE, manufacturing execution systems and integrating manufacturing systems with business information systems.

Dennis Cocco, EMT's president and CEO said the relationship with Synapse offers a wealth of positive implications for both companies. "Synapse Systems has garnered a great deal of respect for its strong customer base of Fortune 500 companies. This is something that VisualPlant can leverage. In return, we allow Synapse broader access to the discrete manufacturing sector and a platform that enables them to focus on their core competencies - understanding and solving their customers' problems.

"VisualPlant is dominating Manufacturing Intelligence and we've seen first-hand how quickly it turns prospects into believers," said Synapse president Dean Petrone. "This platform has such a robust data warehouse that it captures thousands of pieces of information from the plant floor that can be analyzed in real-time and compared to the historical information it has collected. There is nothing available that does this as well as VisualPlant."

VisualPlant is the world's first and only off-the-shelf manufacturing software that analyzes the activity of every machine in the plant and feeds this information live to employees' desktops. What happened last month on a plant floor can be compared to what is happening right now, to improve total plant efficiency and build a better link to the supply chain. It is a live, direct, secure connection to the machines on the plant floor with a simple interface that can be configured by any user in the enterprise to analyze the specific data needed.

SYNAPSE SYSTEMS LAUNCHED
Important news! You're about to get the same great engineering and technical services you're accustomed to under a new name and company!

Important news! You're about to get the same great engineering and technical services you're accustomed to under a new name and company!

Gray Matter Systems, the recognized leader in providing off-the-shelf, expandable, enduring solutions for the industrial automation market, is now announcing the separation of its engineering and consulting group from the rest of the company. The new company - Synapse Systems - will be better equipped to handle your engineering, automation, and plant intelligence needs.

Synapse Systems' mission is to create value and opportunity for your business. We do this by combining our engineering resources, industry standard software platforms, and market knowledge to create innovative solutions to challenging industrial problems.

Several reasons behind this separation are; the pursuit of an independent mission, substantial growth and investment plans for our energy, batching, discrete, and MES business practices; the recent acquisition of Wizdom Controls, Inc. including the Paradym-31 product line; a one-stop resource with expanded capabilities-for meeting your total engineering, automation, and plant requirements-both domestically and internationally.

You'll notice our name change soon on all our mailings, packaging, invoices, and promotional materials. It's still the same people and quality service, just a new name and company. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
Dean Petrone
President, Synapse Systems, LLC.
